Inspiring Young Girls to Play Football
LUFC are proud to be able to offer dedicated girls' teams and has been a participant in the local girls league since it was first created. We are founding members of the league and provide assistance for organising and planning. We also have dedicated girls' team coaches who are trained and qualified to the same professional standards as mixed team coaches. Our club has been a strong advocate of women's football both locally and nationally, helping to promote and grow female participation in football at all levels for all roles – not just players. LUFC was among the first clubs in this area to support and offer Wildcats Female Football Free Football sessions for young girls to try out football. LUFC Wildcats sessions have been a significant success for us, leading to the formation of three successive years of new girls' teams to add to our existing teams.
